THESE RULES ARE EFFECTIVE IN 24 HOURS
First of all, please read this charter, so your experience on this website will be more pleasant. This is also a question of respect towards yourself and your co-forumers.
Acceptable content
1- As an Admin of this board, I have the responsibility to respect some rules written in the Editboard's Terms of Service, and to have it respected by the members of this forum.
So, any content which promotes hacking, warez, cracks, illegal downloads of music, films or series, attacks against servers or websites and p2p links are forbidden.
Any pornographic, pedophile, racially offensive, xenophobic, hateful, homophobic, slanderous content or any other content which violates people's integrity may lead to an immediate ban.
2- For copyright reasons, it's forbidden to display (embed) videos from Youtube or Dailymotion directly in posts. If you want to show a video, please put only the link leading to the page where the video is displayed. This rules also concerns radioblogs. These links are tolerated only if there's no possibility to download the music or the video.
Decorum in posts
2- Before posting your message, make sure to choose the appropriate section according to your topic's subject and language, because there's an English zone, a French zone and a Neutral zone, where both languages are allowed.
3- When you ask questions or post about a problem, we strongly recommend you to use a title which is related to your subject, so a visitor can have an idea of the subject by reading the title. More, the forum's search engine will be more efficient if there are explicative titles, because it looks for keywords in topic titles.
4- For politeness and security reasons, please introduce yourself in the introduction section. This is compulsory to have access to the other sections of this forum.
5- For respect towards your coforumers, we ask you to avoid SMS language (sk8, gr8, go 2 ur post), l3375p34k or any other coded language, and put a minimum of effort in your English or your French, so we'll not have to take 30 minutes only to try to decipher your message.
6- We also ask you to avoid abusing CAPITALS, texts which are illegible by their size or their color (think about members who are visually impaired), smiley or word repetitions.
7- Please avoid using an aggressive tone towards a member as well as towards a staff member. Behaving like this will cost you a warning or even a ban if your ignore the warnings given to you.
8- If you have a conflict with a member of this board, even if he's in the Staff or not, please use the private messages to solve them, to avoid harming the board's ambiance. We are not in an arena for flamewars, we are in a relaxation Web space !
Avatars and signatures
9- Because some people still have a low resolution (800*600) or a low-speed connection, here are the limits which must be respected for avatars and signatures :
Avatars
Width : 150 pixels
Height : 200 pixels
Weight : 200 ko
Signature
Width : 540 pixels
Height : 150 pixels
Weight : 300 ko
If you do not respect the limits, an Administrator or a Moderator will ask you to resize your avatar or signature. Otherwise, it will be erased.
10- The rules about the acceptable contents also concern avatars and signatures, so any avatar or signature which are sexually oriented, pedophile or gore are strictly forbidden. If you display such avatars and signatures, these pics will be deleted and at best, you will be disallowed to display an avatar, or at worst, you will be simply and purely banned.
Advertisements and links
11- Any commercial-oriented links, or links leading to lottery games are strictly forbidden and may lead to an immediate ban.
12- Advertisements by PM are forbidden. If you receive such PMs, please send a copy of these PMs, including the headers, to an Administrator or a Moderator or of course killerkev369.
13- You can advertise for your website/forum/blog only in the section specially made for this, and in the "Website" field in your profile which allows you to display a WWW button underneath your posts, so the members can click on it to visit your website. Advertisements in signatures, avatar or other fields in your profile are forbidden.Unless there your website and go to the forum advertisment forum to advertise if you advertise anywhere else your banned!
Sanctions
14- According to the nature and the gravity of the infringement to the rules, here are the different sanction which can be applicated :
Edition, deletion of message, or having a message moved without any shadow topic.
Warning in the topic and/or by PM (maximum before a ban : 3 warnings)
Banning from displaying an avatar.
Having the PM inbox disabled
Removal from the group of the members who introduced themselves.
Temporary ban (minimum : 1 week)
Lifetime ban
Ban by IP (for troublesome guests)
Inactive users
15- In accordance with this rule, if a member is registered here since more than 9 months and hasn't posted any message, he will receive a prompt email. After, if he doesn't show up after two weeks, his or her account will be deleted from the database.
Administrators and Moderators of this board
16- We ask you to respect the Administrators and Moderators of this board, At the basis, they are members like you and me. If you have questions about an action made by an Administrator or a Moderator, please contact him/her by PM, and most of all, stay calm. Insults must be avoided at any price. This kind of behavior will directly lead to a ban.
17- These rules may be modified anytime without warning, so we recommend you to re-read them regularly.
